The Project
Few locations in the world create the kind of impact that the Burj Khalifa does. For a special TVS event in Dubai, Max AV Production was brought in to help create and capture a visual experience on one of the world’s most recognizable landmarks.
The project combined large-scale projection mapping animation, event production, ground coverage, and aerial cinematography to showcase the TVS brand against the iconic Dubai skyline.
Working at this scale requires more than simply creating visuals. The animation needs to be designed with the architecture of the building in mind, while the production and filming have to capture the experience from the right perspectives.
Our team worked across the creative and production side of the project to help bring the visual experience to life.
One of the key elements of the project was the creation of custom animation for the Burj Khalifa projection mapping experience.
Our creative team developed motion graphics and visual sequences designed to work with the enormous vertical surface of the building. The animation was carefully considered for scale, movement, timing, and visual impact so that the content would translate effectively onto the Burj Khalifa.
The result was a large-scale visual presentation that transformed the building into a dynamic canvas for the TVS brand.
Capturing the Event From the Ground and Air
With an event of this scale, capturing the experience from a single camera position simply isn’t enough.
Max AV Production provided ground event coverage and aerial cinematography, giving the final production a combination of close-up event moments and wide establishing shots that showed the full scale of the projection against Dubai’s skyline.
The aerial footage was particularly important in showing the relationship between the event, the Burj Khalifa, and the surrounding Dubai landscape.
