What size LED wall do I need for my event?
Size comes down to two things: your room dimensions and how far your audience sits from the screen. A large ballroom with a back row 60 feet away needs a bigger, wider-pitch wall than an intimate boardroom where people sit 10 feet from the screen. Share your venue layout and seating plan and we’ll size it properly rather than guessing.
What is pixel pitch and how does it affect image quality?
Pixel pitch is the distance, in millimeters, between individual LED pixels on a panel, and it’s the single spec that determines both image sharpness and minimum viewing distance. A smaller pixel pitch (fine pitch, roughly 1.2mm-1.9mm) delivers a crisp image even up close and is often used for camera-facing content, a medium pitch (around 2.0mm-2.9mm) is a common sweet spot for corporate stages where the audience sits 8-15 feet away, and a wider pitch (3.0mm and up) is more cost-effective for large venues, concerts or outdoor events where viewers are farther back and don’t need that fine a resolution.
How close can my audience sit to an LED wall?
This is really the same question as pixel pitch in reverse, the finer the pitch, the closer people can sit without the image looking pixelated. If VIP seating or a front row will be close to the screen, tell us that distance specifically so we spec a pitch that holds up at that range.
What's the difference between indoor and outdoor LED screens?
Outdoor panels are built brighter (measured in nits) to stay visible in direct sunlight and are weatherproofed against rain and temperature swings. Indoor panels are optimized for color accuracy and finer pixel density at the shorter viewing distances typical of a conference room or gala.
How long does it take to set up an LED wall?
It depends on configuration, a compact mobile LED trailer is built for fast turnaround and can often be ready in around 30 minutes, while a large modular wall built panel by panel with rigging takes considerably longer to build, align and calibrate. We plan load-in timing around your venue’s actual access schedule.
Can LED screens be used outdoors in daylight?
Yes, and this is one of the main advantages LED has over projection. High-brightness outdoor panels stay fully visible in direct sunlight, whereas a projected image washes out badly outdoors unless the space is shaded or it’s after dark.
